I love the harvest and the canning. I did peaches (14 bottles, 2 batches of jam, and 5 frozen pie fillings), tomatoes (19 bottles of juice, 30 bottles of salsa and about another thing of salsa today) and raspberry Jam. I like canning I told my mom it is a good job to do, when your done your done and you have something to show for all the hard work. We also had some good corn on the cob, cucumbers, and crookneck squash from our garden. I also planted some herbs and we have enjoyed them too.
Can you see my new tree. In the middle. It is a weeping blue atlas cedar. I have wanted one for a long time. Eric says its sad that I torture a tree to make it grow horizontal. I tell him it will be beautiful.
The shrubs over grew my perennials this summer so I cut them all down and moved them forward. I hope the all live for next summer. Look how good the Revena Grass looks on the corner of my house.
We took out the grass in the park strip and put some water wise plants down. I hope it looks good. So much to do in the Fall but it makes next summer plants worth it.

Your yard is going to be gorgeous! If you're bored when you're done with yours, feel free to come down and work in mine. :)
You have been a very productive girl. I am so impressed. I have not canned for YEARS, except for salsa. Then magically this year I get a bug. I have done the jam, pears, dilly beans, and tomorrow Tomato juice.
Who would have thought way back in middle-high school we would one day be canning. Pfff. Not me.
Life seems to be treating you great. :)
Me again. So you have been tagged!! Take a look at my blog for details. I know it stinks, but it will give you something to blog about.
