Playing Olympics
Tonight Braden, Hannah, and CJ entertained us with their own version of the Olympics. It was great from the beginning torch lighting to the final bow.

The big final bow. The End.
Great evening entertainment. Much more fun than some of the real Olympics.

School News
New school year for everyone. Woot Woot. Josh and Allie started school this week, finally. The only problem is Hannah and Braden off track now. So I still have kids home for another week and a half. Then they all will be back in school. Talor started her classes and she loves it. She is having fun in her classes and activities so far. I started last week my first day was very overwhelming. I felt very out of place. Today was day three. I enjoyed it more this week. Maybe next week I will be loving it like Talor. Allie is enjoying high school at least most of her classes. Josh likes having more than one teacher during the day.

USU Hear I Come
Last week Talor left for Utah State. (WOW where does time go?) She stayed with Stacey and Ben. She is doing Marching Band and had practiced all week. Yesterday Eric, Josh, Hannah and I (Allie and Braden went boating with friends) went up and helped her move into her apartment. What a bittersweet experience for us all. Eric was having a hard time leaving her. He is the worrying Dad who loves his daughter. Hannah cried clear to Brigham City. She told me to turn off the radio because all the sad songs reminded her of Talor, what a "women" she is.

GOOD LUCK TALOR. HAVE FUN AND WORK HARD IN SCHOOL. LOVE YA TONS

It's a Jack Johnson Birthday
Eric gave me tickets for my birthday to go see Jack Johnson in concert at the USANA amphitheater. It is an outdoor theater. It was a gorgeous night for a concert. I really like his music and enjoyed the concert tons. I started listening to him about 3 summers ago as I was driving to girls camp. One of the girls in my car had his CD. I really liked him a lot. I need to get on I-tunes and get some of his new songs. I guess you can say I am reliving my youth. Braces, School and now concerts. Well it is probably more like a mid-life crisis :) But it all is worth it.Saturday, August 16, 2008
All star tournaments come to an end
Yesterday Allie's All Star season ended. They didn't win the tounament but they all played really tough. Allie loves to play softball. She made a lot of good friends on this team. They all hung out the rest of the night watching the other Riverton teams and cheering them on.
She had a great hit right down the third base line.
She made it to second base off her hit.

Happy Birthday Talor
This past week Talor turned "18". Leagally an adult now.
We tried to think of a list of things that being 18 really gets you
This is our list.
1. Moving out on own.
2. Voting
3. Signing her own papers now.
4. Dry Ice
5. Death Penalty
Horray for being "18"

I did it
Well I took the plunge out of my comfort zone from stay at home mom, to stay at home mom, college student. I am wanting to get my degree through Utah State. They have horticulture degree taught through their extension. My dream job is to work for the church in their gardens. Right now I'm finishing up some generals that I need. I am taking them through Salt Lake Community College. I will be taking two classes Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. I took their college placement tests. Did wonderful on the English test, (I can read a college level) but I don't need to take the English classes of course. I bombed the math. I can't remember how to subtract fractions. Of course I have to take the math classes. I could have studied and tried the test again but I thought it would be better to learn it all again. So I'm starting low. Josh and I will be in Pre-algebra together. (ha ha) I guess kids are right you don't always use math. Oh well I'm hoping Allie and Josh will help me, then I can move up slowly to get to the math class I have to take. I also will be taking a computer class. This will help me a lot. I don't know much about computers. I hope all goes well.

First Day of School
Hannah and Braden started school this week. It was a quick summer only four weeks (BUMMER) but thats what we get for being in a year round school. Oh well, they both really like there new teachers this year. Hannah is in 2nd grade and Braden started 5th grade. The other kids are still traditional school and don't start until the end of August. I think they look pretty snazy in their new duds.
Girls Camp
We just got back today from Girls Camp. This Year was Stake Girls Camp. We went up to the fairly new Heber Valley Camp. It was wonderful. We had lots of fun, saw lots of nature and animals and felt the spirit very strongly. Everything President Hinkley wanted girls to experience up at the camp. The theme for the camp was Steadfast as the Stars. Boy, were the stars amazing up there at night. The girls all were very good and I hope I can go again next year as there camp director
