Klondike.
Josh and Eric went with Josh's scout troop to the Klondike camp up at Rockport. Looks a little cold for me but a lot of fun for them. Josh loves being in scouts.

In What Country???
Braden and his two friends, Kendall and Trevor, were the top three in their class geography bee. They got to go on to the school geography bee. There was 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in the school contest. Last Friday the were given a packet to practice over the weekend and the contest was Monday. He was so nervous all week-end. He didn't want to say something wrong. So he studied all week-end. The contest came and he answered his first three questions right. Those were off the packet he studied. So he made it to the top 9 in the school. Now the tricky part came. New questions not in the packet he studied. He did very well and made it to the Top two. Those two went on for quite some time before Braden finally answered one wrong the other kid got right. So he took second. We were so happy with him. I was so surprised how much he knew. I guess the globe Santa brought him a few years back paid off. WAY TO GO BRADEN. MR SMARTIE PANTS!

Top Nine.
Top 2

Braden and Kendall after it was over. Kendall made it to the top nine too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH
Today is Hannah's Birthday. She is 8 years old. Wow! We celebrated with a friend party Friday evening up at the Lion House in Salt Lake City. All my girls had their
8th birthday parties there. We braved the very bad roads. Now I know what driving with white knuckles means. It is a great place to have that special party. They teach them about pioneers and Brigham Young and his family. They get a tour of the House. Then they play pioneer games, pull taffy, eat finger sandwiches, carrots and lemon aid on pretty little plates. They have cake and ice cream and open presents. The Lion house gives the birthday girl a prociline doll and a tiara. The birthday girl also gets a small bag filled with small treats. It has the same things that Brigham Young gave his kids. A penny, two sugar cubes and 12 raisin. They were to eat one raisin a month on the same day as their birthday then when the raisins were gone it was there birthday again. What a fun party. After we took a quick walk around to see the Christmas lights, before we braved the roads to go home.
Happy Birthday big Girl I hope it's a good one for you.

Christmas Music and Dancing
Last night we had our last Music concert or Dance Recital for this season. This year we only had three. Talor's wind ensemble, Josh's band concert and Hannah's dance recital. I love listening and watching my kids perform. It makes me a proud mama. I love listening to the music too.
Talor at her concert. It was a Sunday evening. So we took the three little kids and went up. Mo and Glen, Brent and Connie all came too. She has loved performing this year. No competitions or grades to worry about. Just playing music.

Josh at his concert. He loves to wear his Santa hat.

Hannah at her Dance recital. Don't you just love the candy can striped costume? I Do.
