Homecoming Dance

Tonight Allie went to her first Homecoming Dance. She was very excited to go. We found the perfect dress for her. It was long but we had it cut off to be a short dress. That is what she wanted. She looked beautiful. It was fun to see her go. I love watching my kids grow up and have first new experiences.

School Days

Well we have all been in school for about a month now. Everyone is doing well, and even though some wont admit it I think they kind of like school this year. Hannah is in 3rd grade and her teacher is Ms. Holloway. Braden is in 6th grade his teacher is Mrs. Elliott. Joshua is in 8th grade. Allie is in 11th grade. I don't know all their teachers names. Talor is in her second year in college. I don't even know what classes she is taking I know she has 18 credits this semester. I have 11 credits this semester. Keeps me hopping. This is my last semester of math though I sure hope I pass. I am tired of math.

Happy Birthday Talor!!!

It's Talor's 19th Birthday tomarrow. Her last year being a teenager. Wow were does time go. What a wonderful 19 years she has had and many new opportunities still to come to her life. We are looking forward to see her continue to grow in to that beautiful young women she is. We love you so very much. Happy Birthday.

" You GLOW Man"

When we were at Bryce Canyon with Eric's Family the did a really fun activity one night. You tape glow sticks on your body so in the dark you look like a glowing stick figure. Funny Stuff. The darker the night is the better. The Kids had so much fun we have done it two more times at home with friends. Allie did it with her friends and Josh, Braden and Hannah did it with some neighbors and a couple of little cousins.

At Bryce Canyon they walked through the camp ground. Everyone came out and took pictures. They thought it was great.

Allie's friends went to the park and played and walked to another friends house. People would honk at them. The next day in church I heard people talking about the kids walking though the neighborhood with the glow sticks. They thought it was cool.

The little kids played in our backyard. They had fun throwing their heads in the air and catching them. The bigger boys walked around our neighborhood and showed some of their friends in our ward.

Boys will be Boys and Girls will be Girls

Hannah had a best friend day with Kristen and Emily. They started at Kristen's house and her Mom did their hair. Then the came to our house and Talor and Allie painted their nails. Last the went to Emily's house and her Mom made lunch for them and cupcakes to decorate. What a fun day together.

Contrast this with the fun Josh and Braden had with their friends Drew and Bryce. I saw them way out in the school field and didn't know what they were doing. These are the pictures Josh took of them and what they were doing.

To itchy for me, but lots of fun for them.

WOW!!! We have had a fun spring.

I think I will just run down the family and let you know what everyone has been doing. Sorry it is a long post. I need to learn how to do slide shows.

Eric:

This spring he took a break from coaching ball and enjoyed watching as the proud Dad from the stands. This has been good for me. He has built me some great garden boxes for my yard and now we are getting a great garden shed. Yippy. Thanks for all your hard work.

Talor:

Talor finish her first year up at USU. She had a great year. She came home and found a job in about one week at Lowes. She was tired of me nagging one week was all she could stand. Thanks heaven for small blessings. Today she took the plunge literally. She plunged to the ground going 120 mph from about 13000 feet in the air. She loved it and is ready to go again. I stood on the ground watching for the parachute to open. Thank heaven for large blessings.

Suiting up.

Kelsey, Marianne and Talor before.

Talor and coach.

Loading on plane.

Lift off. This was Kelsey's first time even flying in a plane and she jumps out. LOL

If you look close you can see the plane and one small white dot jumper.

She is up there some where.

This is Talor in the air.

Coming in for a landing

After. They had a great time. You go Girls

Allie:

Allie has just finished her first year in High School. She really liked High School. She ran track for the high school this spring. She did pretty good. She broke her personal time everytime she ran. She ran the 1600, and the 3200. She has also loved hanging out with her friends every minute she can. She has been playing in a few compitition softball tournaments. She is making her Dad proud. Allie, Braden and Eric got to meet David Archuleta a few weeks ago. Braden was thrilled. Allie said Derek Jeter would have been more fun to meet. No she did not want her haircut that short. She asked for one inch off and long swooping bangs. 6 inches later she was crying. She cried for 2 days. Allie went on her first date to morp this spring. She also got her licence a few weeks ago. Wow. I love not having to pick her up late anymore.

Joshua:

Josh just finish his first year in middle school. He did so well. He finished his last band concert EVER, he said. He also went fishing with Eric and Brother Clegg from our ward on the Green. He chose not to play baseball this year. He has loved scouts and didn't want to miss any camps at all. He has gone rock hounding at Topaz mountain and to the Sand Dunes so far.

Braden:
Braden still has 3 weeks of 5th grade left. He played baseball this spring. He was on the A's. His team took second place. He had a great time until he broke his arm. Then he became the teams loudest cheerer. Slow down on that scooter from now on. He did get David Archuletas autograph on the first cast.

Hannah:

Hannah still has 3 weeks of 2nd grade left. She was very busy this spring playing softball and doing dance competitions. Next year I told her she had to chose one and she chose dance. No surprise there. She loves the dressing up, make-up, glitter, and performing. She was a snake in the Indiana Jones production number and just cute in there red and white candy striped costumes.

and Me:
As you can see I should have posted many times this spring but I have been a little busy. I finished spring semester of school and am taking a math class during the summer. I have been getting ready for girls camp and keep working in my yard. Of course last week all I did was watch the rain and hail beat my yard up. I hope it pulls out of it.

Joshua Eric Figgins Attorney of Let's Make A Deal

April 17th was Josh's birthday. He wanted to get an air soft gun. I was having a hard time making up my mind to get him one or not. So we didn't get him one for his birthday. So last week he presented us with this contract. This is what it said.

Contract

Please agree with the terms
(From your sons lawyer)

I the wanter of an air soft gun if I get one will follow these rules if parent/guardian lets their son/daughter get one. I will not threaten anyone. I will only shoot at someone if wanted to be shot at. I will not aim or point at anyone unless in a war or wanted to be. Only get a clear see through gun that doesn't look real. If I don't follow these rules I will insert one dollar to my savings and give parent/guardians one. Please write down anything that might make a better chance of getting one. If you sign it means yes.

Parent Signature Son Signature

Parents amendments:
Will not be shot in or at any house. I will not take the gun to school or on any school grounds. Will be kind to Mom, Dad and siblings FOREVER! Will give mom a bedtime kiss every night. I will do every job I am supposed to do. If any of these rules are not followed I will surrender the gun and bullets to my parents.

We laughed really hard. With a lot of talk we all signed. I even have had a few kisses already even though he has not gotten the gun yet.

The picture is from his birthday. I got him a new helmet he likes, because I caught him jumping up and down my front stairs on his pogo stick without a helmet. He is getting braver than I want to watch.
